Exhibition of paintings and graphics by Alexander Masyk was on the display at the Ukrainian Institute of America from May 29 – June 24, 2012.

Alexander Masyk was born in 1947 in Konotop, Ukraine in the family of the honored artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Masyk.   From 1957 to 1965 Alexander studied at the Republican Art School in Kyiv, after which for six years at the Kyiv Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Master of Fine Art.   Artist works in oil and tempera painting, pastel drawing, owns etchings, linocuts and woodcuts.

Alexander Masyk is a member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists and a member of Oil Painters of America.  In the artist’s asset there are more than 80 exhibitions in Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, China and the United States. His works are in private collections in Canada, USA, Belgium, Britain, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, Morocco, Hungary, France, Japan, Egypt and China.
